Resumo: In recent years several facts are leading to extinction and decline of amphibian populations. Captive breeding and knowledge of reproduction may be strategies for the early signs disappeared. The use of hormone for inducing spermiation is necessary to obtain semen quality that will be used for artificial fertilization, cryopreservation, animal breeding and subsequent repopulation of species. There were two papers: the first was carried out to verify the use of buserelin acetate as an inducer of the spermiation butterfrog and analyze semen butterfrog and analyzed the semen of bullfrog. The location of the works was the Experimental Frogfarm Federal University of Viçosa, the period of two of three from February to May 2009. Experiment 1: We conducted the experiment in order to induce spermiation using buserelin acetate and analyzing the semen collected. The job site was the Experimental Frog Federal University of Viçosa, in the period of two of three from February to May 2009. We used seven male butterfrog who had secondary sexual characteristics: black spines, limbs and developed to reflect the presence of embrace. The hormone was used buserelin acetate (GnRHa) at a dose of 0.4 g and was applied for seven days at intervals of 24 hours, 90 minutes after the application was performed daily collection of semen parameters used for semen evaluation were: semen volume, color of semen, sperm motility, sperm motility, sperm concentration and morphology assessment of spermatozoa. Only three animals responded and in total were collected seven samples of semen, the first collection took 97.5 hours after the first application. The semen butterfrog obtained on average volume of 0.38 mL, color vision, motility of 3.71, sperm motility of 77.14%, concentration of 6.60 x106 SPTZ / mL, 69% of normal spermatozoa. Buserelin acetate can be used to induce spermiation in the frogbutter. We collected low semen volume, the results of color, vigor, motility, concentration and normal sperm counts are acceptable. Experiment 2: We conducted the experiment in order to induce spermiation of males using buserelin acetate and analyzing the semen collected. The job site was the Experimental Frog Federal University of Viçosa, in the period of two of three from February to May 2009. We used five male bullfrogs that had secondary sexual characteristics: weight greater than 200g, with yellow chat, presence of callus and Bridal person's reflection to embrace. The hormone was used buserelin acetate (GnRHa) at a dose of 0.4 g, 60 minutes after single application was made to collect the semen parameters used for semen evaluation were: semen volume, color of semen, sperm motility, sperm motility, sperm concentration and morphology assessment of spermatozoa. The semen of bullfrog obtained on average volume of 5.76 mL, color vision, motility of 4.80, motility of 93%, and concentration of 14.24 x106 SPTZ / mL, 70% of normal spermatozoa. The results found in semen samples of bullfrog volume, color, vigor, motility, sperm concentration and normal sperm counts are acceptable. All the parameters used for evaluation of semen samples from bullfrog are essential for optimal completion of the semen quality and decision making to their destination.

A criação em cativeiro e o conhecimento da reprodução podem ser estratégias para o início da reversão desse quadro. A utilização do hormônio para indução à espermiação é necessária para a obtenção de sêmen de qualidade que será destinado para fertilização artificial, criopreservação, melhoramento animal e posteriormente repovoamento de espécies. Foram realizados dois trabalhos: o primeiro foi realizado com objetivo de verificar a utilização do acetato de buserelina como indutor a espermiação de rã-manteiga e analisar o sêmen de rã-manteiga e o de rã-touro. O local dos trabalhos foi o Ranário Experimental da Universidade Federal de Viçosa, o período de dois de fevereiro a três de maio de 2009. Experimento 1: Foi realizado o experimento com o objetivo induzir à espermiação utilizando o acetato de buserelina e analisar o sêmen coletado. O local do trabalho foi o Ranário Experimental da Universidade Federal de Viçosa, no período de dois de fevereiro a três de maio de 2009. Foram utilizados sete machos de rã-manteiga que possuíam as características sexuais secundárias: acúleos negros, membros anteriores desenvolvidos e com presença do reflexo ao amplexo. O hormônio utilizado foi o acetato de buserelina (GnRHa) na dosagem de 0,4 μg e foi aplicado durante sete dias em intervalos de 24 horas, após 90 minutos da aplicação foi realizada a coleta diária do sêmen, os parâmetros utilizados para avaliação do sêmen foram: volume seminal, cor do sêmen, vigor espermático, motilidade espermática, concentração espermática e avaliação das morfologias dos espermatozóides. Somente três animais responderam e no total foram coletadas sete amostras de sêmen, a primeira coleta levou 97,5 horas após a primeira aplicação. O sêmen de rã-manteiga obteve em média: volume de 0,38 mL, coloração turva, vigor espermático de 3,71; motilidade espermática de 77,14%, concentração de 6,60x106SPTZ/mL e 69% de espermatozóides normais. O acetato de buserelina pode ser usado como indutor a espermiação da rã-manteiga. Foi coletado baixo volume seminal, os resultados de coloração, vigor, motilidade, concentração e o número de espermatozóides normais são aceitáveis. Experimento 2: Foi realizado o experimento com o objetivo induzir à espermiação de machos utilizando o acetato de buserelina e analisar o sêmen coletado. O local do trabalho foi o Ranário Experimental da Universidade Federal de Viçosa, no período de dois de fevereiro a três de maio de 2009. Foram utilizados cinco machos de rã-touro que possuíam as características sexuais secundárias: peso superior a 200g, com papo amarelado, presença do calo nupcial e com presença do reflexo ao amplexo. O hormônio utilizado foi oacetato de buserelina (GnRHa) na dosagem de 0,4 μg, após 60 minutos da únicaaplicação foi realizada a coleta do sêmen, os parâmetros utilizados para avaliação do sêmen foram: volume seminal, cor do sêmen, vigor espermático, motilidade espermática, concentração espermática e avaliação das morfologias dos espermatozóides. O sêmen de rã-touro obteve em média: volume de 5,76mL, coloração turva, vigor espermático de 4,80; motilidade espermática de 93%, concentração de 14,24x106SPTZ/mL e 70% deespermatozóides normais. Os resultados encontrados nas amostras de sêmen de rã-touro de volume, cor, vigor, motilidade, concentração espermática e o número de espermatozóides normais são aceitáveis.
