Resumo: With the objective of evaluating the relationship the isoleucine: lysine levels of digestible lysine in diets of Japanese quails were performed three experiments: 1 - relationship isoleucine with lysine, 2 - lysine levels obtained from the manipulation of crude protein diet; 3 - lysine levels in diets based on ideal protein concept. For experiment 1 were used 336 quails with 120 days of age, in a completely randomized design consisting of six treatments with seven replicates of eight birds per experimental unit. The experimental diets were supplemented with six levels of L-isoleucine in order to obtain relations isoleucine to lysine of 0.65, 0.70, 0.75, 0.80, 0.85, and 0.90. In experiments 2 and 3 were used 336 quail, each, with initial age of 35 weeks, distributed in a completely randomized design, consisting of six treatments (levels of digestible lysine: 0.95, 1.00, 1.05, 1 10, 1.15 and 1.20), seven replicates of eight birds. The diets in experiment 2 were formulated by altering the ratio of corn and soybean, thus varying levels of crude protein, to obtain the desired level of lysine, in the experienti 3 the diets that were formulated fixed quantities of corn and soybean meal and added L-lysine HCl to obtain the levels of lysine. In all experiments, the parameters studied were: feed intake, egg production, commercial egg production, egg weight, egg mass, feed conversion and weight per dozen eggs, viability of poultry, egg components: yolk albumen and shell and specific gravity. In experiment 1 there was no significant effect of relationships isoleucine with digestible lysine for all parameters. In experiment 2 lysine levels did not affect feed intake, egg weight percentage of commercial eggs and viability however, but increased linearly egg production and egg mass and feed conversion reduced mass and dozen eggs. Lysine levels obtained from manipulating the crude protein content of the diet did not change any parameters of egg quality. In experiment 3 there was no significant effect of lysine levels in the diet for all parameters of performance and quality of eggs analyzed. The ratio of isoleucine to lysine 0.65, corresponding to a daily intake of isoleucine 158.92 mg and 244.5 mg lysine provides satisfactory performance and egg quality of Japanese quail. Quail diets with minimal amino acid supplementation should be formulated to contain 23.5% CP and 1.20% lysine, or enough for the daily consumption of 5.87 g and 299.15 mg of these nutrients, respectively. However, diets of Japanese quail, based on ideal protein concept, can be formulated with lysine level of 0.95% or enough to ensure the daily consumption of 224.20 mg of this amino acid.

Para o experimento 1 foram utilizadas 336 codornas com 120 dias de idade, distribuídas em delineamento inteiramente casualizado constituído por seis tratamentos, sete repetições e oito aves por unidade experimental. As rações experimentais foram suplementadas com seis níveis de L-isoleucina de maneira a obter as relações isoleucina: lisina de 0,65; 0,70; 0,75; 0,80; 0,85 e 0,90. Nos experimentos 2 e 3 foram utilizadas 336 codornas, cada, com idade inicial de 35 semanas, distribuídas em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, constituído por seis tratamentos (níveis de lisina digestível na ração: 0,95; 1,00; 1,05; 1,10; 1,15 e 1,20) , sete repetições de oito aves. As rações do experimento 2 foram formuladas alterando a proporção de milho e de farelo de soja, variando assim os níveis de proteína bruta de forma a obter os seis níveis de lisina desejados, enquanto, que as rações do experimento 3 foram formuladas mantendo-se fixas as quantidades de milho e farelo de soja e adicionado L-Lisina HCl para obter os níveis de lisina digestível. Em todos os experimentos os parâmetros estudados foram: consumo de ração, produção de ovos, produção de ovos comercializáveis, peso do ovo, massa de ovos, conversão alimentar por massa e por dúzia de ovos, viabilidade das aves, componentes dos ovos: gema, albúmen e casca e gravidade específica. No experimento 1 verificou-se efeito não significativo das relações de isoleucina: lisina digestível na ração para todos os parâmetros analisados. No experimento 2 os níveis de lisina digestível não influenciaram o consumo de ração, o peso dos ovos, a porcentagem de ovos comercializáveis, viabilidade das aves e a qualidade dos ovos, contudo proporcionaram aumento linear da produção de ovos e da massa de ovos e redução das conversões alimentares por massa e por dúzia de ovos. Os níveis de lisina obtidos a partir da manipulação do teor de proteína bruta da ração não alteraram nenhum parâmetro de qualidade dos ovos. No experimento 3 não foi observado efeito significativo dos níveis de lisina digestível na ração para todos os parâmetros de desempenho e qualidade de ovos analisados. A relação isoleucina: lisina de 0,65; correspondente ao consumo diário de 158,92 mg de isoleucina e 244,5 mg de lisina proporciona resultados satisfatórios de desempenho e de qualidade dos ovos de codornas japonesas. Rações de codornas devem ser formuladas de forma a conter 23,5% de PB e 1,20% de lisina, o que corresponde ao consumo diário de 5,87g e 299,15mg desses nutrientes, respectivamente.
