Metodologicamente, procurou-se através de um conjunto de abordagens, como a entrevista aberta e o Diagnóstico Rápido Participativo- DRP, apreender e compreender as formas mais significativas de organização socioeconômica, cultural e espacial. Como resultado, verificou-se que a relação construída entre a comunidade, a floresta e o rio é fundamental para a manutenção do modo de vida e que essa organização do espaço com ambiente corresponde a um padrão tradicional que perpassa pelo modo que esses atores se relacionam com casa, floresta, rio, ciclo agrícola e relações de trabalho.The study is based on the Iratapuru community in the state of Amapá and aimed to understand how the community perceives, organizes, and relates to living space. Methodologically, a set of approaches was used such as structured interviews and Rapid Participatory Diagnosis -DRP, in order to grasp and understand the most significant forms of socioeconomic and cultural organization.
