A experiência como prática formativa de estudantes na Extensão Universitária

Resumo: | The present study is a research about experience, as a subject of educational practice for undergraduate students involved in university extension, understanding its historical different conceptions and practices. The main purpose was to qualify the experience dimension of university students involved in university extension activity, understanding how it is related to students formative process and how they treat the extension activities experiences in their academic background. Considering the different conceptions and the historical university extension modalities associated to several functions assumed by university, we analyzed how the social and political differences in conceptions and university extension activities modalities cross students several formative experiences. As methodology, we adopted interviews based on focal group perspective. They were used as instruments for information production about the extension experiences. Four meetings happened with different university students groups. In order to understand and analyze data from focal groups, in the light of theories used for the present work, we applied the content analysis for the purpose of extracting the meanings of speeches which were built collectively by the students, identifying message characteristics, senses and meanings, understanding transversal elements in different experiences, conceptions and practices. The research results allowed us qualifying the university experiences in the perspective of extension practices historicity, understanding which place the extension activity takes in students trajectory, just as well as the meanings and senses of experiences in universities extension activities over academic expertise construction. Thereby, it is possible to understand the existence of other ways of composing knowledges which are organized based on practices and do not have the status of scientific knowledge; as a result they are not institutionally legitimized, as in the case of experience. In the present study, the university extension practices are understood as educational significant experiences, because of their contribution for the living field. Where occur the relations of experiences as well the several practices and conceptions are intimately linked to the historical and political tensioning in Brazilian education. We also conclude that other paradigms are announced beyond the traditional university knowledge, the university extension activities appears as a possibility of making place for other existing knowledges. |

We also conclude that other paradigms are announced beyond the traditional university knowledge, the university extension activities appears as a possibility of making place for other existing knowledges.O presente trabalho consiste numa pesquisa que tem como tema a experiência enquanto prática formativa de estudantes de graduação envolvidos em atividades de Extensão Universitária, que por sua vez são compreendidas historicamente em suas diferentes concepções e práticas. O principal objetivo desta pesquisa foi qualificar a dimensão da experiência construída por estudantes universitários envolvidos em atividades de Extensão Universitária, compreendendo como elas incidem na trajetória dos estudantes buscando entender o modo como os mesmos as tratam na sua formação acadêmica. Com o intuito de compreender as diferentes concepções e modalidades de Extensão Universitária constituídas historicamente, associadas às diferentes funções assumidas pela universidade, foram analisadas como as diferenças sociais e políticas nas concepções e modalidades de Extensão atravessam as diferentes experiências formativas de estudantes. Nos caminhos metodológicos, optamos por utilizar entrevistas, na perspectiva de Grupo Focal, enquanto instrumento de produção de informações sobre as experiências extensionistas, sendo realizados quatro encontros com diferentes grupos de estudantes universitários. Para compreender e analisar as informações emergentes dos grupos focais, à luz das teorias por nós trabalhadas nesta pesquisa, utilizamos o método da Análise de Conteúdo, com o objetivo de extrair significados dos discursos construídos coletivamente pelos estudantes, identificando características da mensagem, sentidos e significados e compreendendo elementos que transversalizam as diferentes experiências, concepções e práticas. Os resultados desta pesquisa permitiram-nos qualificar as experiências dos estudantes universitários na perspectiva da historicidade das práticas de Extensão, bem como os significados e sentidos das experiências em Extensão Universitária na construção do conhecimento acadêmico.
