Taxonomia de Fulgoroidea no Brasil (Insecta: Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha), com ênfase em Dictyopharidae

The aim of this work was to increase and to congregate all the knowledge regarding the taxonomy of the Fulgoroidea in Brazil. First, specimens deposited in entomologic collections of seven Brazilian Museums and Universities were borrowed for a study concerning fauna and taxonomy of Brazilian Dictyopharidae. There were registered only 24 genera and 69 species for Brazil before this. After analyzing all the entomologic material received, two new genera (Mozzela gen. nov. and Mitropodes gen. nov.), with two new species (Mozzela victoriae sp.nov. and Mitropodes brasiliensis sp. nov.) were described. These are the first registers for Paraíba and Pernambuco States. Another species, Mitropodes guarani, from Rio Grande do Sul State, had also been described. There were made new registers for other species, Mitrops noctivida, in different Brazilian states. Later, a bibliography, concerning Fulgoroidea taxa described and registered for Brazil, was raised so a taxonomic key and a catalogue could be elaborated. An illustrated taxonomic key for all Fulgoroidea families is presented in two languages (Portuguese and English), the groups from Neotropical region were detached. The taxa which have the same morphology were congregated. There were catalogued 627 species and 205 genera distributed in 14 families. In the catalogue mentioned above, there were also the number of genera and species registered for each Brazilian state; all the bibliography referring to the taxa presented and its respective hostplants; the type-specie of each genera; all the synonymous of each taxon and all the epithets of species found were synonymized. When the catalogue was made, it was possible to observe and detach the Brazilian areas where additional studies are urgent.
