Resumo: This research aimed to evaluate the application of interventions with students of the 7th and 8th years of elementary school II of a public school in Ipiranga neighborhood inserted into the mangrove biome with the environment and contribute to the awareness of these students about environmental issues through activities educational related to this biome. Environmental issues were presented to the school students "Hilda Professor de Souza Coelho". It was used as a methodological reference the qualitative study had as aid instruments: presentation of the study area, hiking in the interpretative trails and applying a questionnaire. Confirming aspects of the theory that the trails have the purpose of developing the walkers a new awareness field, if found as students realized the environment and environmental problematic of the park. Developed the understanding that environmental interpretation as well as the EE not only comes down transmission of information, but the involvement of values, feelings and care of the space visited seeking to reflect on the meaning of the environment. There is a need of a reversal in this situation of degradation and abandonment for sustainable preservation, based on EE and environmental awareness of this natural heritage, whose main biome the importance of mangroves not only for the CU, as well as to all the community of your surroundings. The final considerations close the dissertation demonstrating an approach of interaction between students with the activities. In this way it is concluded that an important step for the training of students inserts activities in natural areas on EE projects.

In this way it is concluded that an important step for the training of students inserts activities in natural areas on EE projects.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar a aplicação das intervenções com os alunos do 7º e 8º anos do Ensino Fundamental II de uma escola pública do bairro Ipiranga, inserido no bioma manguezal com o ambiente, e contribuir para a sensibilização desses discentes quanto às problemáticas ambientais, através de atividades educativas relacionadas a esse bioma. As questões ambientais foram apresentadas aos alunos da Escola Professora Hilda de Souza Coelho. Foi utilizada como referencial metodológico a pesquisa qualitativa que teve como auxílio de instrumentos a apresentação da área de estudo, as caminhadas nas trilhas interpretativas e a aplicação de um questionário. Confirmando aspectos da teoria de que as trilhas têm o propósito de desenvolver nos caminhantes um novo campo de sensibilização, constatou-se como os alunos perceberam o meio ambiente e a problemática ambiental do parque. Desenvolveram o entendimento de que a interpretação ambiental, assim como a EA, não somente se resume à transmissão de informações, mas ao envolvimento de valores, sentimentos e cuidados com o espaço visitado, buscando-se refletir sobre o significado de meio ambiente. Existe a necessidade de uma reversão nessa situação de degradação e abandono para uma preservação sustentável, baseada na EA e na sensibilização ambiental desse patrimônio natural, que tem como bioma principal o manguezal, de grande importância não somente para a UC, como também para toda a comunidade de seu entorno. As considerações finais fecham a dissertação, demostrando uma aproximação de interação entre os alunos e as atividades desenvolvidas.
