Resumo: | This qualitative and quantitative research seeks to identify which operational, managerial, technological, strategic, organizational and financial benefits are earned by companies that have implemented ERP systems. Through interviews in 3 companies of electrical, construction and financial sectors, based on literature, we have identified which of the benefits were in fact observed in the companies. This study indicates that ERP brings many of those expected benefits to companies, especially those related to operational, managerial, strategic and organizational issues, but less than expected in matters related to IT. As the interviewed companies did not monitored the financial benefits , a non-parametric analysis of financial ratios about 14 listed companies, before and after the adoption of ERP, allows to identify that ERPs may have contributed to the reduction of corporate profitability, although they have generated improvements management of working capital . This benefit was also identified in the qualitative research, which showed a reduction in cycle time and improves productivity. Other benefits were also highlighted as better control performance, better corporate governance, cost leadership / economies of scale, organizational culture change towards a results focused culture. Finally, based on the points raised in the literature and interviews, this paper proposes metrics for monitoring the benefits that this can be done in a tangible way in business.Esta pesquisa quali-quantitativa busca identificar quais benefícios operacionais, gerenciais, tecnológicos, estratégicos, organizacionais e financeiros são auferidos por empresas que implantaram ERPs. Por meio de entrevistas em 3 empresas dos setores elétrico, construção e financeiro, identificaram-se quais, dentre os benefícios listados na literatura, foram de fato observados nas empresas. Este estudo sinaliza que o ERP traz diversos desses benefícios esperados às empresas, principalmente aqueles ligados a questões operacionais, gerenciais, estratégicas e organizacionais, mas menos que o esperado nas questões relacionadas à Tecnologia da Informação. Como as empresas entrevistadas não monitoraram os benefícios financeiros, uma análise não paramétrica dos indicadores financeiros de 14 empresas abertas, antes e depois da adoção dos ERPs, permitiu identificar que os ERPs podem ter contribuído para a redução da rentabilidade das empresas, embora tenham gerado melhoras na gestão do capital de giro. Este benefício também foi identificado na pesquisa qualitativa, que apontou redução do tempo de ciclo e melhora na produtividade. Outros benefícios também foram ressaltados, como melhor controle de desempenho, melhor Governança Corporativa, liderança de custo/economias de escala, mudança da cultura organizacional para uma cultura focada em resultados. Na contramão destes benefícios encontrados, a pesquisa qualitativa indicou piora nos custos gerais de TI, na motivação dos funcionários e na rentabilidade das empresas. Apesar da percepção geral de que a implantação de ERPs foi benéfica às empresas, constatou-se que as empresas entrevistadas não monitoraram de forma estruturada o seu impacto, não sendo possível afirmar que os benefícios superam os custos de implantação.
