Bourgeois State, Economic Planning and Industrialization in Brazil (1930-1980)

Resumo: The article aims to discuss the role of the State in the process of constitution, expansion and consolidation of industry in the brazilian peripheral economy. In the first moment, there is an exhibition of what was conventionally called “restricted” industrialization and the constitution of the bourgeois state in Brazil during the Vargas era. In the second, the industrialization that was observed during the implementation of the audacious Plano de Metas proposed by Juscelino Kubistchek is emphasized. In the third and last one, an approach is taken about the consolidation of the industrialization process carried out during the military dictatorship, especially in the period of the so-called economic "miracle" and in the milestones of the II PND, which was in force between the years 1974-1979, during the government of General Ernesto Geisel. The article consists of a critical review about the Brazilian industrialization process, based, theoretically, on the contributions of authors of the so-called historical-structural method and on the marxist theory of dependence.

En el primer momento, hay una exhibición de lo que convencionalmente se llamó industrialización "restringida" y la constitución del estado burgués en Brasil durante la era Vargas. En el segundo, se enfatiza la industrialización que se observó durante la implementación del audaz Plan de Metas propuesto por Juscelino Kubistchek. En el tercero y último, se adopta un enfoque sobre la consolidación del proceso de industrialización llevado a cabo durante la dictadura militar, especialmente en el período del llamado "milagro" económico y en los hitos del II PND, que estuvo en vigor entre los años 1974-1979, durante el gobierno del general Ernesto Geisel. El artículo consiste en una revisión crítica sobre el proceso de industrialización brasileño, basado, teóricamente, en las contribuciones de los autores del llamado método histórico-estructural y en la teoría marxista de la dependencia.O artigo tem como objetivo discutir o papel do Estado no processo de constituição, expansão e consolidação da indústria na economia periférica brasileira. No primeiro momento é realizada uma exposição do que convencionou-se denominar de industrialização “restringida” e a constituição do Estado burguês no Brasil durante a era Vargas. No segundo, enfatiza-se a industrialização que se fez observar durante a implementação do audacioso Plano de Metas proposto por Juscelino Kubistchek. No terceiro e último é realizada uma abordagem acerca da consolidação do processo de industrialização levado a efeito durante a ditadura militar, mormente no período do chamado “milagre” econômico e nos marcos do II PND, o qual teve vigência entre os anos de 1974-1979, durante o governo do general Ernesto Geisel.
