Resumo: The peripheral, colonial, and dependent capitalism of Latin America generates a contradiction with peoples and collective groups in the quest to transform the occupied lands into merchandise that serves as a means of production. To this end, it destroys the cultures, the social organizations and the way of life of the peoples and destroys nature. The destruction of nature is intrinsic to capitalism and the destruction of cultures the mark of capitalist colonialism. The main objective of the work is to demonstrate that this process, in the 20th century, has propitiated a new form of class struggle that has put in check the individual landowner system and capitalism as its guarantor. Secondary objectives are to demonstrate that historically the class struggle in the colonial slaveholding world was different from the class struggle in other continents. On the people's side also part of this struggle is the maintenance of nature in contradiction to central capitalism. Another secondary objective is to demonstrate that peasants are part of this class struggle in the defense of nature and protection of the land as a collective domain. This whole had as mortar the consciousness of the cultural and natural contradiction obtained in the 20th century. The study will be based on doctrinal and theoretical research. The conclusion reached is that effectively the peoples, peasants and nature integrate this Latin American class struggle. Certainly, the situation of nature is not that of an actor in the class struggle, but rather an object of dispute. Nature is the land that provides for the needs of peoples and peasants and that cannot be reduced to private property and merchandise.
