The theme, in the table setting, relates to the theoretical and methodological changes related to research in Law. In the shape of a narrative about the actions developed in the Graduate Program (broadsense) Rural Social Rights ”“ Agricultural residence, the idea is tobring the potential in the development of empirical research on the Law, reflecting on the epistemological, theoretical and methodological frameworks, that interest our practice in the relationship between research and social movements. The program is na initiative developed in partnership between the Federal University of Goiás/Regional City of Goiás, the National Education Program in Agrarian Reform (PRONERA - INCRA/MDA), the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development/CNPq and Social Movements. The main purpose of the paper is to demonstrate how the arrival of social movements struggling for land to theuniversity, promotes thematic, pedagogical, epistemological and methodological breaks, allowing oxygenation of the university and the transformation of the practices of legal education.
