Maroons, Indigenous & Violence: secrets, silences and talks about crimes

Resumo: In Pará, as in the Amazon in general, the demand for recognition of rights is part of the maroons and indigenous peoples’ agenda, considering that today, like yesterday, the rights continue to be violated, despite the actions of traditional peoples. Routinely, situations of criminal violence are registered, consisting of rape and gender-basedviolence perpetrated against ethnic and racially differentiated women. This article shows the public the story of two women who “pay with the body”, inasmuch as raped, by the failure to ensure differentiated rights.

Cotidianamente, registram-se as situações de violência criminosa que consistem em violações e violência de gênero perpetrada contra mulheres étnica e racialmente diferenciadas.
