What do translated book’s paratexts say? The case of five works published in France with a grant from the support program for translation and publication of Brazilian authors abroad

Resumo: In recent years, the Support Program for the Translation and the Publication of Brazilian Authors Abroad provided by Brazilian National Library Foundation is one of the main actors to have a place in increasing the presence of Brazilian literature outside the country, particularly in France. In this work, we briefly discussed this context to emphasize the analysis of some paratexts based on the previous works of Torres (2011) and Carneiro (2014). We point out the morphological indexes of five Brazilian works translated as part of the previously mentioned grant to verify whether they were presented as assumed translations or not, and the level of visibility of its translators depending on the locating of their names.
