Resumo: | One of the debated topics about Plato’s Sophist is the distinction between original and image, more precisely, thedifference among the original, the true and the false image. It’sonly to justify this classification that the philosopher addressesto the demonstration of not”‘being and presents, right from thebeginning of the Dialogue, the dualism ‘reality”‘appearance’. Theaim of the present paper is creating a relationship between theconcepts of not”‘being and appearance, as they are presentedin the Sophist, to legitimize the existence of beings that are, although they are not real nor true, the phantasmata. This sort of beings is different from the other kind of image, because theyare essentially misleading. Keywords: Imagine (εἴδωλον), apparent image (φάντασμα), untruth, betrayal. |

Keywords: Imagine (εἴδωλον), apparent image (φάντασμα), untruth, betrayal. Parole chiave: immagine (εἴδωλον), immagine apparente(φάντασμα), falsità , inganno.Cátedra UNESCO Archai (Universidade de Brasília); Imprensa da Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal; Annablume Editora, São Paulo, Brasil2016-08-25info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArticlesArtigosapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unb.br/index.php/archai/article/view/869510.14195/1984-249X_18_3Revista Archai; No. 18 (2016): Revista Archai nº18 (setembro, 2016); 113Archai Journal; n. 18 (2016): Revista Archai nº18 (setembro, 2016); 1131984-249X2179-496010.14195/1984-249X_18reponame:Revista Archai (Online)instname:Universidade de Brasília (UnB)instacron:UNBporhttps://periodicos.unb.br/index.php/archai/article/view/8695/7375Botter, Barbarainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2018-06-08T14:00:40Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/8695Revistahttps://periodicos.unb.br/index.php/archaiPUBhttps://periodicos.unb.br/index.php/archai/oai||archaijournal@unb.br|| cornelli@unb.br1984-249X1984-249Xopendoar:2018-06-08T14:00:40Revista Archai (Online) - Universidade de Brasília (UnB)false |
