Resumo: | The growing technological evolution that has been taking place over the years has caused significant changes in humanity in all contexts, in addition to its relevance in the industrial, public and private sectors. The insertion of several innovations in the scope of Information and Communication Technologies - ICTs, has revolutionized the world with the phenomenon of digitization, where the initial milestone was the connection between people, with the use of devices, software and applications, which in addition to communication, social networks and entertainment, brought other features promoting innovative business methods and products aimed at a new digital audience, as a result of these new technologies. Based on this premise, the phenomenon conceptualized as the internet of things (IoT) arises, enabling communication now not only between humans, but between machines and machines (M2M) and the entire value chain, through the connectivity of smart devices capable of processing, combined and integrated with new materials, new and existing technologies, giving rise to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. For the monitoring of processes, decentralized and autonomous decision-making, identification of failures and agility in the pertinent corrections, among other tasks to be carried out along the lines of Industry 4.0, it is necessary to use supervisory systems that are compatible with the new technological standards pertaining to it. This research addresses supervisory models used in Industry 4.0, and through the development of bibliographic research, in an exploratory study, aims to subsidize professionals and researchers in the development of technologies that improve the performance of industrial processes. |
