Resumo: Sustainable development as part of the global agenda is a reality that must be sought by each sector, by each company, by each economic agent. In the oil industry, the new segment that has developed more consistently in recent years, called decommissioning, was born supported by very objective sustainability criteria, as presented in this work. This new segment of the national oil sector represents a significant case study to observe how it is possible, through a regulatory alignment with the country's sustainable agenda, to seek less polluting ways, less aggressive to the environment. Through a literary review combined with a national and international legislative analysis, the aim is to present possible scenarios for decommissioning that contribute to sustainable development, in particular with the fulfillment of the sustainable development goals promoted by the UN.

En la industria petrolera, el nuevo segmento que se ha desarrollado de forma más consistente en los últimos años, denominado desmantelamiento, nació apoyado en criterios de sustentabilidad muy objetivos, como se presenta en este trabajo. Este nuevo segmento del sector petrolero nacional representa un importante caso de estudio para observar cómo es posible, a través de un alineamiento regulatorio con la agenda sustentable del país, buscar caminos menos contaminantes, menos agresivos con el medio ambiente. A través de una revisión literaria combinada con un análisis legislativo nacional e internacional, se pretende presentar posibles escenarios de desmantelamiento que contribuyan al desarrollo sostenible, en particular con el cumplimiento de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible promovidos por la ONU.O desenvolvimento sustentável como pauta da agenda mundial é uma realidade que deve ser buscada por cada setor, por cada empresa, por cada agente econômico. Na indústria do petróleo, o novo segmento que tem se desenvolvido de modo mais consistente nos últimos anos, chamado de descomissionamento já nasce apoiado em critérios de sustentabilidade bastante objetivos conforme se apresenta no presente trabalho. Este novo segmento do setor petrolífero nacional representa um significativo estudo de caso para se observar como é possível por meio de um alinhamento regulatório com a agenda sustentável do país buscar caminhos menos poluentes, menos agressivos ao meio ambiente. Por meio de revisão literária combinada com uma análise legislativa nacional e internacional busca-se apresentar cenários possíveis para o descomissionamento que contribuam com o desenvolvimento sustentável, em especial com o cumprimento dos objetivos de desenvolvimento sustentável promovidos pela ONU.
