The fourth industrial revolution and the COVID-19 pandemic made telecommuting more and more frequent. The UN forecast is for growth of these jobs in the coming years. In this context, considering that Brazil is a signatory of the UN's 2030 agenda, this research seeks to analyze trends in remote work in Brazil from the perspective of UN SDG No. 8 to promote decent work and economic growth. For that, an exploratory methodology of a descriptive nature was used, whose bibliographic survey allowed the organization, synthesis and description of the content. The research was carried out through the analysis of academic texts, books, search for keywords on sites such as Scielo, Google Scholar, as well as institutional sites such as the IPEA, IBGE and UN. The existence of a positive correlation between the percentage of telework jobs and the country's per capita income was found, as well as the need to improve Brazilian legislation and strengthen public policies to make remote work compatible with the UN goals of achieving full employment and productive and decent work.
