Resumo: With the present work, we seek to analyze the Racial Equality Statute and its unfolding into two important facets: firstly, it is about its role in the consolidation of ethnic racial affirmative policies and, secondly, it is about of the Statute's relationship with the creation of laws that regulate affirmative ethnic-racial quotas. Indeed, this work seeks to demonstrate the important role of the Racial Equality Statute in the construction of ethnic-racial public policies, which were also recognized by the judiciary as a result of the existence of the said Statute.
