In the face of discussions about responsibility and the role of tourism events, this paper proposes to analyze how the dimensions of Responsible Tourism can contribute to the planning, realization and management of events in a responsible way. For this analysis is taken as object of study the XVIII International Festival of Environmental Film and Video (FICA) that happens in the city of Goiás/GO. The aim was to analyze the practical possibilities responsible for tourism since the XVIII FICA. The research is characterized as qualitative and exploratory, using the bibliographic and documentary survey, observation and interviews applied to the visitors/participants and managers of the Event. It was possible to verify that the Event uses terms related to environmental and sustainable issues, but in fact does not carry out actions in a responsible way. It does not consider its real meaning and uses the term only as a form of disclosure.
