Resumo: Nothing is more practical than theory and more pragma-tic than philosophy. The revision of values by means of facing dilemmas leads to new forms of seeing, availing and acting. Theory shows up as vital, once there is enough courage to face the problems that are brought about by it, but that exist in spite of it. Theory does not originate these problems, it only expresses them. While helping formulate questions, it may help finding answers, even unexpected ones. Theory is incapable of resolving the work of art, for it has something specific in its language that cannot be translated in concepts, no matter how hard they try. A revisão de valores mediante o enfrentamento dos dilemas leva a maneiras novas de ver, avaliar e agir. A teoria aparece como vital, quando há coragem para enfrentar os problemas que ela ajuda a expor, mas que existem independente dela. Ela não os gera, ela apenas os expressa. Ao ajudar a formular perguntas, pode ajudar a encontrar respostas, ainda que inesperadas. A teoria é incapaz de resolver a obra de arte.
