The objective of this work is to make a diagnosis of residential projects located in the city of Rondonópolis (Mato Grosso) in terms of thermal performance, and propose solutions that could be adopted in the next projects or even in existing ones when possible. The methodological procedures involve the data collection of the characteristics of the buildings and application of the simplified method normalized in NBR 15.575. The survey will be done through consultations to the architectural projects and visits to the work of three residential developments of three important constructors in the city, denominated by A, B and C. The analysis with simplified method was chosen, since the enterprises analyzed do not present facades with glass skins. The results will be used to help designers and developers in Rondonópolis adapt their projects to meet NBR 15575 in terms of thermal performance. The minimum thermal transmittance, thermal capacity and ventilation apertures of the external vertical fence systems and the criteria of thermal transmittance and solar radiation absorptivity of the roofing systems were evaluated. It is concluded that this research can identify how the issue of thermal performance is being considered in residential developments in Rondonópolis and serve as support for construction companies and developers, in order to avoid possible problems in the future.
