In the present context, the concerns about the environment make the search for constructive less impacting solutions an urgent need. In this sense, the paper proposes the creation and analysis of a structural and constructive system for slabs and roofing, associating concrete and wood, called: SMMS (SUSTAINABLE MODULAR MIXED SYSTEM). A comparative analysis between the SMMS system demonstrates a superior mechanical performance to some systems of traditional slabs and shows the behaviour for different composition possibilities. Its good mechanical performance, associated with several advantages: constructive, environmental, architectural and sensitive, make the system an interesting solution for the needs of today’s world, with some specific characteristics that cannot be achieved by any other traditional system.
