Resumo: The Green Building Council (GBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system is a platform guided by a variety of sustainable requirements, which specificities are addressed in the theoretical study. The research presents the evaluation of the LEED system, from the perspective of companies that operate with this constructive technology in the civil construction segment, and describes the solutions adopted by a tourism-cultural enterprise certified by LEED, the Museum of Tomorrow. To this purpose, the defined geographic coverage was the State of Rio de Janeiro and the methodology used a qualitative approach, survey-based strategy, interview script referenced by LEED. The study demonstrated the feasibility of thinking and making concrete changes in the civil construction sector, which historically has great socio-environmental impacts and that there are alternatives to progress towards sustainability. Through LEED, it can be observed that the civil construction area has evolved on environmental perspective, although it does not meet the balance recommended in the Triple Bottom Line.

Through LEED, it can be observed that the civil construction area has evolved on environmental perspective, although it does not meet the balance recommended in the Triple Bottom Line.
