Foram amostrados aleatoriamente deztransectosde100 x10m (1000m²),totalizando 1 ha com 1.696 indivíduos arbóreos e arbustivos vivos distribuídos em 87 espécies, 37 famílias e61 gêneros. As famílias Leguminosae, Vochysiaceae, Compositae (Asteraceae) e Melastomataceae apresentaram a maior riqueza de espécies. O índice de Shannon (H’=3,64)confirma a alta diversidade encontrada na área. A área basal total encontrada foi de 15,2 m²/há e o volume total de madeira estimado ficou em 34,45 m³/ha. Das espécies identificadas 78,2%tem algum uso não-madeireiro, onde 59,8%são medicinais, 20,7%são alimentícias e 24,1% são utilizadas no artesanato. Estas espécies úteis representam 92,7%do total de indivíduos. Ten transects of100 x10 m (1000m²) were randomly sampled, totaling1hawith 1,696 arboreal and live shrubs distributed in 87 species, 37 families and 61 genera. The families Leguminosae, Vochysiaceae, Compositae (Asteraceae) and Melastomataceae presented the greatest species richness. The Shannon index (H'=3.64) confirms the high diversity found in the area. The total basal area found was 15.2 m²/ha and the total estimated wood volume was 34.45 m³/ha. Of the species identified, 78.2% have some non-timber uses, where 59.8% are medicinal, 20.7% are food for humans, and 24.1%are used in handicrafts. These useful species represent 92.7%ofthe total individuals.
