Os objetivos deste trabalho são demonstrar ao leitor a sequência do trabalho que se realiza na clínica psicanalítica freudiana, com adultos e trazer alguns conceitos intrínsecos a essa clínica, no que se refere à formalização do setting terapêutico, as regras técnicas, as entrevistas preliminares, diagnóstico e o processo terapêutico em si. Há o esclarecimento da divisão de papéis que desempenha ora o analista ora o analisando. O trabalho aborda as situações de impasses que emperram o andamento da análise e, por ultimo, uma discussão sobre a análise terminável ou interminável sob a visão de alguns autores. O trabalho foi realizado por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica em que foram extraídos conceitos de vários autores que discorrem sobre os fatos importantes da clínica psicanalítica, partindo de Freud até aos autores contemporâneos que foram e outros ainda são analistas. As mudanças mais significantes que repercutiram na clínica ocorreram nas pesquisas de Freud e, outras modificações foram acrescentadas por outros autores conforme as novas necessidades prementes do ser humano, decorrentes das modificações estruturais de cada tempo. Conclui-se que trabalhar em Psicanálise envolve dois tempos. O primeiro é mais o fácil, que é a apreensão da teoria e o segundo, é o momento da prática clínica que demanda muito tempo, esforço e exige qualidades especiais do analista e é o momento de lidar com as imprevisibilidades, quando o analista se depara frente a frente com o analisando, cada um com sua carga psíquica e ambos preenchidos pela força de seus desejos. _________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTPsychoanalysis is complete because it is constituted by research, theory, method and technique, which forms interpenetrate themselves without overlapping of values. The objectives of this research are to show the reader the sequence of the work that has been done in Freudian psychoanalytic practice with adults and to bring some intrinsic concepts to this practice, with regard to the formalization of the therapeutic setting, technical specifications, preliminary interviews, diagnosis and the therapeutic process itself. In this process there is a clarification of the division of roles that is played sometimes by the analyst, sometimes by the analysand. This research addresses the situations of impasses that hinder the progress of the analysis and, at last, a discussion of the terminable and interminable analysis by some authors’ points of view. The study was conducted through bibliographical research, from where several concepts were extract, which authors discoursed about the clinical psychoanalysis important facts, from Freud to Contemporary Authors who were and still are analysts. The most significant changes that affected the clinical research occurred on Freud’s research. More of those changes were added by other authors, according to the new pressing needs of human beings, arising from structural changes in each time. It is concluded that working in Psychoanalysis involves two stages.
