O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a dinâmica de nitrogênio em um Sistema Agroflorestal Sucessional Biodiverso localizado na região de Cerrado do Brasil Central (Região Administrativa de Planaltina-DF), com ênfase nos principais estoques e fluxos de nitrogênio no sistema solo-planta-serapilheira. A média da razão C/N encontrada no solo foi 14. A concentração de N total no solo variou de 0,20% na superfície (0-5cm) a 0,10% no intervalo de 10-20cm de profundidade, houve incremento de 15N ao longo do perfil variando entre 6,3‰ na superfície (0-5cm) a 7,4‰ (10-20cm). O estoque de N variou com a profundidade, apresentando o maior valor médio 1,2 Mg.ha-1 na camada superficial do solo (0-5cm). Houve predomínio na concentração de N-NH4+ em relação ao N-NO3- durante o período analisado. Nas plantas, os valores de δ15N foliar variaram entre -1,4 e 6,2‰ incluindo as espécies arbóreas leguminosas e não leguminosas. A concentração de N foliar média foi maior nas leguminosas em relação às não leguminosas. A razão C/N foliar média das espécies não leguminosas foi maior que as leguminosas. Não houve diferença significativa na média de δ15N foliar entre o valor médio das espécies leguminosas e não leguminosas. Entretanto, as espécies leguminosas arbóreas investigadas distribuíram-se em três grupos (não nodulantes, nodulantes ativas e nodulantes inativas) ao considerar a ocorrência de FBN quando a diferença entre o δ15N foliar médio das espécies leguminosas e o δ15N foliar médio das não leguminosas (2,7‰) ficou ≥ 1‰. Os valores encontrados tanto para δ15N, N e C/N indicaram variação espacial na composição de serapilheira. A ausência de FBN em leguminosas que comumente fixam nitrogênio corrobora com a alta redistribuição de N no sistema. Após o período de 10 anos de implantação do SAF, observaram-se mudanças na dinâmica de nitrogênio com aumento na sua disponibilidade no sistema, entretanto o estoque no solo permaneceu semelhante, quando comparado as fitofisionomias com dominância de estrato arbóreo no Cerrado. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe need of sustainable practices of soil management as Agroforestry Systems (AFSs) have increased lately in face of the present scenario of deforestation, conversion of native vegetation in crop or pasture areas and soil degradation. Changes in land use usually are associated with alterations in the ecosystem services and functions. The objective of this study was to investigate the nitrogen dynamics in an AFS of high diversity of tree species, localized in the region of Cerrado in Central Brazil (Administrative Region of Planaltina-DF), with emphasis in the main stocks and fluxes of nitrogen in the soil-plant-litter system. The average of the soil C/N ratio was 14. The total N concentration in the soil ranged from 0,20% in the surface (0-5cm) to 0,10% in the 10-20cm depth. There was a increase of 15N along the soil profile ranging between 6,3% in the surface (0-5cm) to 7,4% (10-20cm). The stock of N varied with depth, showing the highest average value of 1,2 Mg.ha-1 in the surface layer of soil (0-5cm). The concentration of N-NH4+ predominated in relation to N-NO3- throughout a year-period. Foliar δ15N varied between -1,4 e 6,2‰ including tree legumes in relation to non legume trees. The average foliar C/N ratio of the non legumes was greater than the legume species. There was no significant difference in the average of foliar δ15N between legume and non legume species. Tree legumes was further distributed in three groups (non nodulating, active nodulating, inactive nodulating) considering the occurrence of biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) when the difference between the average foliar δ15N of a single legume species and the average foliar δ15N of the non legume species (2,7‰) was ≥ 1‰. The values founded to δ15N, N e C/N indicated spatial variation in the litter composition. The absence of BNF in legumes, which commonly fix nitrogen corroborates the high redistribution of N in the system.
