O presente trabalho tem como objetivo verificar se o evento Porão do Rock é um atrativo e se confere valor à oferta de turismo da capital. Para o alcance do objetivo, o trabalho foi divido em três partes. A primeira falando sobre turismo, conceito e o perfil do turista de Brasília, atrativo turístico, cultura e turismo cultural. A segunda parte sobre a relação do rock e a identidade local de Brasília, apresentando uma contextualização de festivais musicais e uma breve história do rock. A terceira parte se consiste em um breve histórico do festival e aplicação de um questionário para análise qualitativa do perfil do frequentador do PDR, com dados econômicos e de divulgação, percepção do desenvolvimento do evento, além de entrevista semiestruturada com um integrante de banda participante do festival e de um frequentador desde a criação do evento. A pesquisa identificou que o PDR é um atrativo, mas que ainda promove baixo fluxo de turista na capital. The goal of the following paper is to check if the Porão do Rock festival is attractive and if it adds value to the tourism scenario in the capital of Brazil. To reach that goal this research was divided in three parts: the first explains the concepts of tourism, the profile of the tourists that come to Brasilia, its tourist attractions, its culture and cultural tourism. The second part explores the relationship between Brasilia and the genre of rock music and talks about the local identity of Brasilia, presenting a brief history of rock in the city and how music festivals played an important role in the musical scene. the third part displays the history of the festival PDR and shows the results of a survey to figure out the profile of the public that goes to the PDR festival, including economic data on advertising and the perception of improvement of the event, besides an semi structured interview with one of the band members that played on the festival and a customer that has been to every PDR festival. This research has proven that the festival PDR is attractive to tourists but still brings a small number of people to the city.
