Na Alema-nha, por exemplo, teve todo o contexto de guerras no início do século XX. Consequên-cia desses fatos foi uma interrupção da atividade turística durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Ao final desse conflito Berlim ficou em ruínas e sendo administrada por go-vernos divergentes, gerando a Guerra Fria. Nesta perspectiva, foi questionado, de que modo a Segunda Guerra Mundial e a Guerra Fria contribuíram para o turismo histórico-cultural da cidade? Assim, a pesquisa tem como objetivo refletir sobre os aspectos que evidenciam de que modo o tema “segunda guerra mundial” e “guerra fria” contribuiu para o turismo histórico-cultural em Berlim. Isto foi observado a partir de três monu-mentos selecionados: Portão de Brandemburgo, Memorial do Muro de Berlim e Memo-rial do Holocausto. Para tanto, este trabalho foi divido em três partes, a primeira e se-gunda tratam da fundamentação teórica em que foi feita uma discussão em torno dos principais temas que relacionam a história de guerra de Berlim ao turismo cultural, fa-zendo assim um percurso pelo período da Segunda Guerra Mundial e pós-guerra. Le-vantou-se informações relevantes sobre o turismo e, mais especificamente, sobre o tu-rismo cultural, a partir do site visitBerlin e, por fim, apresenta a importância dos monu-mentos como uma representação deste cenário. Por isso, na terceira parte foi realizada a análise desses três monumentos anteriormente citados com o intuito de responder o questionamento. In Germany, for exa-mple, it was part of the entire context of wars in the early twentieth century. Because of these facts, there was an interruption of tourist activity during the World War II. At the end of this conflict, Berlin was in ruins and begun to be run by divergent governments, which eventually trigged the Cold War. From this perspective, this paper reflect in what way the Second World War and the Cold War contributed to the historical-cultural tour-ism of Berlin. Thus, this research aims to elaborate on the aspects and evidences that indicate how the "Second World War" and the "Cold War" contributed to the historical-cultural tourism in Berlin. The observation considered three selected monuments: the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall Memorial and the Holocaust Memorial. This paper was divided in three parts: the first and second ones deal with the theoretical basis about the discussions on the relation between the history of Berlin and its cultural tourism, throughout the period of the Second World War and postwar. Relevant information on tourism and, more specifically, on cultural tourism has been looked from the ‘visitBer-lin’ website highlighting the importance of those monuments as a representation of such sce-nario. In the third part, the three monuments were analyzed in order to verify and answer that proposed reflection.
