Ao longo deste estudo foram abordadas as definições de Poder e a Política Internacional, considerando que possibilidade da guerra ou da paz, depende dos elementos e características de política interna e externa. Além do mais, apresentaram-se os atores não governamentais como a FIFA, que é uma organização voltada para o futebol, e o COI, uma organização relacionada à realização das Olimpíadas. O nacionalismo e a relação do futebol e suas interações com a sociedade e governos. Para alcançar tal objetivo utilizou-se uma metodologia qualitativa com pesquisa bibliográfica, que permitiu apresentar a teoria acerca do tema. Após levantamento teórico, concluiu-se que o futebol, um grande evento esportivo, converte-se em uma ferramenta ideológica em que os países utilizam como forma de poder e de prestígio e desempenha um papel importante dentro de um país, onde essas dinâmicas permeiam as Relações Internacionais e Políticas. E ainda, podem encontrar processos de mudança estrutural, surgindo dessa forma, oportunidades para união e coalizão entre os povos. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis paper was done in order to analyze the role of International Relations and the Football within of diplomacy peace. Throughout this study have been discussed the power settings and International Policy, whereas possibility of war or peace depends on the components and characteristics of domestic and foreign policy. Furthermore it presented the non-governmental actors such as FIFA, which is an organization for football, and COI, an organization related to the execution of the Olympics. Nationalism and the football relationship and their interactions with society and governments. It was used a qualitative methodology literature to achieve this goal, which allowed the present theory on the subject. After theoretical survey, it was concluded that football, a major sporting event, turns into an ideological tool that countries use as a form of power and prestige and it plays an important role in a country where these dynamics permeate the International and Political Relations.
