Baseada na Teoria das Representações Sociais de Sérge Moscovici e pautada em um método qualitativo, de abordagem exploratória, para a pesquisa foi utilizado um questionário de associação livre de palavras – TALP, com a seguinte frase indutora: “Para você a escola é”, o questionário solicitava ainda, informações sobre dados pessoais. Participaram deste estudo 53 adolescentes em privação de liberdade, todos do sexo masculino e idade acima de dezoito anos. Para a análise dos resultados utilizou-se o software EVOC (1977) que combinou a frequências das palavras evocadas mediadas pelo termo indutor e apresentou a ordem média das evocações, que foram distribuídas em quatro quadrantes, evidenciando os possíveis elementos centrais e periféricos das representações sociais. Os resultados obtidos apontam que os adolescentes pesquisados representam a escola com as palavras: Aprendizagem (40,5%), Futuro melhor (28,7%), Emprego melhor (16,9%) e Educação (13,9%). Conclui-se que para este grupo de adolescentes a principal representação da escola diz respeito ao lócus de aprendizagem, evidenciando assim, a representação que eles possuem sobre a importância da aprendizagem para o processo de melhoria da qualidade de vida. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis study aims to understand the social representations of adolescent offenders to abide by social in the detention unit of the Nook Emas-DF about school. Based on the Theory of Social Representations of Serge Moscovici and guided by a qualitative method, exploratory approach. To research a questionnaire of free association of words was used - TALP with the following inductive statement: "To you is the school", the questionnaire also requested information on personal data. The study included 53 adolescents in custody, all male and over the age of eighteen. To analyze the results we used the EVOC (1977) software that combined the frequencies of words evoked mediated inductive term and presented the average order of evocations, they were divided into four quadrants, showing the possible central and peripheral elements. Results indicate that adolescents surveyed represent the school with the words: Learning (40.5%), better future (28.7%), better job (16.9%) and education (13.9%). We conclude that for this group of adolescents to primary school representation relates to the locus of learning.
