O objetivo desta monografia é refletir a respeito do incentivo à leitura literária e propor atitudes em sala de aula para promover este incentivo. Foi realizado um estudo de caso com turmas do 3º ano do ensino fundamental e uma pesquisa bibliográfica a respeito do tema. Foi também realizada uma discussão a respeito da formação do leitor, com base nos PCN’s, o papel da escola e do professor, e, por fim, um estudo referente ao trabalho realizado com os alunos das turmas em questão. Este trabalho parte do pressuposto de que a leitura deve ser encarada com seriedade e sua devida importância por toda a sociedade, pois a literatura é o espaço de humanização necessário ao ambiente escolar. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis monograph is aimed at discussing the encouragement of literary reading. The objective of this thesis is to reflect on the encouragement of literary reading and propose actions in the classroom to promote this incentive. We conducted a case study of classes of the 3rd year of primary school and a literature search on the subject. It also held a discussion regarding the formation of the reader, based on the NCP's, the role of school and teacher, and finally, a study concerning work with students in the classes in question.
