A crescente presença de câmeras digitais nos ambientes urbanos e nas imediações de rodovias representa um estímulo à criação de aplicações que obtêm a partir de imagens sequenciais informações úteis à análise de trânsito. The growing number of digital cameras in urban environments and at highway premises represents a strong motivation for the design of applications that gather relevant information on traffic analysis from image sequences.
