Uma delas, a mata de galeria, representa uma das fitofisionomias mais ricas do bioma. Aliado ao ritmo acelerado de destruição deste bioma, há carência de informações florísticas e fitossociológicas da vegetação nas matas de galeria. Neste intuito, o presente estudo foi realizado numa área com forte utilização por atividades agrícolas, na região sudeste do Distrito Federal. Foi investigado um trecho de mata de galeria na Fazenda Malunga, cuja hidrografia faz parte da bacia do Rio Preto. O objetivo do estudo foi estudar a composição florística e estrutura fitossociológica desse trecho, que está localizada na região menos estudada botanicamente do DF. Foram alocadas 32 parcelas de 10×10 m (100 m2) nos locais mais conservados contendo vegetação arbórea, onde foram mensurados todos os fustes com diâmetro à altura do peito maior ou igual a 5 cm. Em paralelo a amostragem quantitativa foram realizadas coletas botânicas periódicas no ano de 2012, coletando todas as espécies vasculares observadas com material reprodutivo, de todos os estratos. Foram calculados os parâmetros fitossociológicos e usou-se o índice de similaridade de Sørensen para comparar a composição florística da área com outras sete áreas. Um total de 232 espécies foram identificadas incluindo a amostragem de parcelas fixas e as coletas florísticas. Na análise fitossociológica foram registrados 502 indivíduos de 87 espécies, distribuídas em 49 famílias e 77 gêneros. Fabaceae apresentou o maior número de espécies (26), seguida por Asteraceae (22) e Rubiaceae (18 espécies). As espécies com maior Valor de Importância foram Nectandra cissiflora Nees, Tapirira guianensis Aubl., Protium heptaphyllum (Aubl.) Marchand, Xylopia emarginata Mart. e Anadenanthera peregrina (L.) Speg.. A densidade absoluta foi de 1.569 ind./ha e a área basal de 16,48m2/ha. As árvores mortas em pé somaram 83 indivíduos (17% do total). A diversidade de Shannon (H’) foi de 3,9 e a uniformidade de Pielou (J’) de 0,87. A distribuição diamétrica na comunidade apresentou formato J-reverso, indicando possíveis características auto-regenerativas. O estudo apresentou altos valores de riqueza e diversidade e alta similaridade com outra área na mesma bacia hidrográfica do DF. Embora a área amostrada seja considerada pequena (0,32 ha), os dados são relevantes por reunirem informações de uma área da sub-bacia menos conhecida do DF, integrante da grande bacia hidrográfica do São Francisco. _____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe Cerrado is the biome widespread in Central Brazil and is characterized by mosaics of different vegetation types with high floristic diversity. One of them, called gallery forest, is one of the richest vegetation types of this biome. Together with the rapid environmental destruction of this ecosystem, there is a lack of floristic and phytosociological information. Thereby, this study was conducted in an area with traditional use by agricultural activities in the southeast region of the Distrito Federal (DF). I investigated a patch of gallery forest in Fazenda Malunga farm, which is part of the hydrographic basin of the Rio Preto River. The aim of this study was to investigate the floristic and phytosociological composition of this patch, which is located in the less botanically studied DF region. I allocated 32 plots of 10 × 10 m (100 m2) in the most conserved locals of the patch, measuring all arboreal individuals with diameter at breast height (DBH) greater or equal than 5 cm. In parallel of the quantitative sampling, during 2012, I periodically collected all vascular species observed with reproductive material, from every botanical stratum. I calculated the phytosociological parameters and used the Sørensen similarity index to do floristic comparisons with seven others gallery and ciliar forests. A total of 232 species were identified including sampling of the plots and floristic collections. In the phytosociological analysis it was sampled 87 species, in 77 genera and 49 families. Fabaceae had the highest species number (26), followed by Asteraceae (22) and Rubiaceae (18). The species with highest Importance Value were Nectandra cissiflora Nees, Tapirira guianensis Aubl., Protium heptaphyllum (Aubl.) Marchand, Xylopia emarginata Mart. and Anadenanthera peregrina (L.) Speg.. The absolute density was 1,569 ind./ha and basal area of 16.48 m2/ha. The dead standing trees totalized 83 individuals (17% of total). The Shannon diversity index (H’) was 3.9 and the Pielou index (J') was 0.87. The distribution of diameters in the community showed J-reverse format, indicating self-regenerative characteristics. This gallery forest showed high similarity with another area in the same hydrographic basin and high values of richness and diversity. Although the sampled area was considered small (0.32 ha), the data is relevant to gather information from an area of the least known DF sub-watershed, part of the great San Francisco watershed.Submitted by Ricardo F.
