O presente trabalho apresenta um estudo numérico e experimental de um perfil aerodinâmico. Por meio de uma ampla pesquisa bibliográfica foi definido inicialmente cinco perfis aerodinâmicos comerciais, apropriados para aplicação em condições de baixas velocidades de vento. Em seguida através de simulações computacionais da geometria desses cinco perfis foi possível selecionar apenas um, propondo a sua utilização também para velocidades de ventos baixos. A construção desse perfil proposto e as medições feitas com o aerofólio estático em túnel de vento permitiram a comparação entre os resultados experimentais e numéricos. Nos ensaios experimentais os coeficientes de arrasto, sustentação e momento foram obtidos com o auxílio de um sistema de balanças projetado especificamente para o experimento. Com os dados obtidos, realizou-se um levantamento de curvas CL (coeficiente de sustentação) e CD (coeficiente de arrasto), que por sua vez se relacionam com outras componentes aerodinâmicas e permitem definir o limite de potência máxima gerado pelo aerogerador que utilize o perfil proposto. This paper presents a numerical and experimental study of an aerodynamic profile. Through an extensive literature search was initially set five commercial aerodynamic profiles suitable for use in conditions of low wind speeds. Then the computer simulations with the geometry of these five profiles it was possible to select only one, suggesting its use for low wind speeds. The construction of this proposed profile and measurements made with the static airfoil wind tunnel will allow the comparison between experimental and numerical results. In experimental trials, the drag coefficients, lift and time were obtained with the aid of a weighing system specifically designed for the experiment. With the data obtained, there was a survey of curves CL (lift coefficient) and CD (drag coefficient), which in turn relate to other aerodynamic components and let you set the maximum power limit generated by wind turbine that uses the proposed profile.
