O curso natural da doença torna o individuo vulnerável a uma série de doenças denominadas oportunistas, dentre elas destaca-se a infecção por tuberculose, complicação de maior letalidade em indivíduos que já manifestaram a aids. A triagem para a Infecção Latente de Tuberculose ILTB é feita por meio da Prova Tuberculínica (PT), esse teste apresenta limitações como: possibilidade de falsos positivos em pacientes vacinados com a BCG e falsos negativos em condições de déficits imunitários e situações de desnutrição, além de dificuldades operacionais. Os ensaios de liberação do Interferon Gama (IGRA) surgem como alternativa ao diagnóstico da ILTB com vantagens de serem mais específicos, melhor na operacionalização e exatidão do exame, porém com sensibilidade ainda questionável. Trata-se de um estudo transversal realizado com 15 pacientes com aids, residentes no Gama-DF, que foram investigados a partir de um questionário e da realização da PT e o IGRA. Todas as amostras da PT foram negativas e apenas um paciente apresentou IGRA positivo. O paciente em questão possuía a menor contagem de CD4 - 186 cel/mm³. A pouca quantidade da amostra não nos permite afirmar que o IGRA é melhor que a PT, mas o resultado sugere que ele seria mais sensível em pacientes imunodeprimidos. Contudo faz-se necessário a produção de mais estudos sobre os valores diagnósticos dos IGRAs para que no futuro possa se pensar em uma possível mudança nas políticas públicas atuais. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTHIV infection has global proportions and Brazil are distributed heterogeneously in all units of the federation. The natural course of the disease makes the individual vulnerable to a series of so-called opportunistic diseases, among which stands out TB infection, a complication of higher mortality in patients who already manifest AIDS. Screening for Latent Tuberculosis Infection LTBI is taken by the Tuberculin skin test (PT), this test has limitations as false positives in patients vaccinated with BCG and false negatives in terms of immune deficits and situations of malnutrition, in addition operational difficulties. Assays release of Interferon-Gamma ( IGRA ) are an alternative to the diagnosis of LTBI with advantages of being more specific, improvements in the operation and accuracy of the test, but with still questionable sensitivity. This is a cross-sectional study of 15 AIDS patients, residents Gama -DF, which were investigated from a questionnaire and conducting of PT and IGRA. All PT samples were negative and only one patient had a positive IGRA. This patient had the lowest CD4 count - 186 cells / mm ³. A small amount of the sample does not allow us to affirm that the IGRA is better than PT, but the result suggests that it would be more sensitive in immunocompromised patients.
