Objetivo: Descrever o emprego da simulação realística no processo ensino-aprendizagem no atendimento de indivíduos em situação de parada cardiorrespiratória. Metodologia: Estudo prospectivo, longitudinal, observacional de abordagem quantitativa,desenvolvido durante o período de 12 meses. Casuística composta por 29 alunos. Incluídos alunos do 7º e 8º períodos do curso de Enfermagem da Universidade de Brasília/Faculdade de Ceilândia e excluídos os alunos que renunciaram o consentimento livre e esclarecido e não cursaram as disciplinas de Saúde do Adulto e Cuidado de Enfermagem ao Paciente Crítico e de Risco. Os alunos foram expostos a aula teórica de PCR, posteriormente foram submetidos à uma situação simulada dessa temática no laboratório. Em um segundo momento, foram treinados no laboratório a atuarem frente à ocorrência de uma PCR, utilizando a simulação realística como estratégia de aprendizagem. Resultados: Casuística predominantemente do sexo feminino, com idade média de 22 anos. A maioria (89,7%) dos alunos concordou totalmente que a simulação representa uma ferramenta agregadora de subsídios científicos para ampliação do conhecimento no atendimento da parada cardiorrespiratória e 86,2%consideraram a simulação como ferramenta essencial para um aprendizado mais eficiente.Conclusão: Concluiu-se que a estratégia de simulação representa uma ferramenta inovadora e pode ampliar as competências e habilidades no atendimento ao indivíduo em parada cardiorrespiratória. ___________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTIntroduction: The connection between nursing and simulation is historical and has been used since the beginning of the twentieth century, when mannequins were developed to represent the care process of the human being. Objective: Describe the use of the simulation in the teaching-learning process in the assistance of patients in a Cardiorespiratory Arrest (CRA). Methodology: A prospective, longitudinal and an observational study of a quantitative approach developed during the period of 12 months. The casuistic was composed by 29 students including nursing students in their 7th and 8th periods in the Nursing Undergraduate course in the University of Brasília/ Ceilândia Faculty and excluding those who denied the informed consent and didn't course the disciplines of Adult Health and Nursing Care to the Critical Patient at Risk. The students were exposed to the theoretical class of CRA, and then submitted to a simulation of this thematic in the laboratory. On a second stage, they were trained in the laboratory so as to act in case of a CRA using the simulation as a learning strategy. Results: Casuistic composed mostly by the feminine sex with mean age of 22 years old. Most of the students (89,7%) came to a conclusion that the simulation represents an effective tool for scientific subsidies to increase the knowledge in the Assistance of Cardiorespiratory Arrest and 86,2% considered the simulation as an essential tool for a more efficient learning.
