Porém, essa atividade também pode provocar impactos negativos, trazendo graves custos para a localidade. Assim, é importante haver uma preocupação, por parte de todos os agentes envolvidos na atividade turística, com a forma como essa atividade é desenvolvida em uma região, devendo-se minimizar os custos gerados por ela e buscar um turismo mais ético e sustentável em todas as suas dimensões. Desta forma, este trabalho procurou identificar quais são as práticas realizadas por uma prestadora de serviço turístico, a agência Cerrado Aventuras, que contribuem para o desenvolvimento do turismo sustentável no destino em que ela se localiza, Pirenópolis - Goiás. Os resultados foram obtidos por meio de documentação indireta, utilizando-se livros, artigos e sítios online, que ofereceram as bases teóricas para as discussões desta pesquisa, além de documentação direta, através de entrevista com o proprietário da empresa e observações de campo. Contrastando teoria e prática, as informações revelaram algumas ações feitas pela agência que podem ser consideradas sustentáveis, gerando também ganhos empresariais. However, this activity can also cause negative impacts, causing serious costs to the location. Therefore, it is important that there is concern on the part of all those involved in tourism, with how this activity is developed in a region, and one should minimize the costs generated by it and the search for a more ethical and sustainable tourism in all its dimensions. As such, this study sought to identify what are the practices performed by a provider of tourist service, the "Cerrado Aventuras" travel agency, which contribute to the development of sustainable tourism at the destination where it is located, Pirenópolis - Goiás. The results were obtained through indirect documentation, using books, articles and online sites, which offered the theoretical basis for discussions of this research, and direct documentation, through interviews with the business owner and field observations. By contrasting theory and practice, the data revealed some actions taken by the agency may be considered sustainable, also generating corporate earnings.
