Sabidamente, o rim é comumente afetado durante a sepse e o seu comprometimento eleva o risco da mortalidade. Objetivo: Identificar a incidência de pacientes sépticos que evoluem com injúria renal aguda no cenário de terapia intensiva. Método: Estudo prospectivo, longitudinal e quantitativo realizado com pacientes sob regime de internação da Unidade de Terapia Intensiva do Hospital Regional de Ceilândia (HRC) do Distrito Federal (DF). A coleta de dados ocorreu durante o período de 12 meses através do prontuário eletrônico dos pacientes, com dados inseridos em questionário estruturado. Foram incluídos pacientes com idade igual ou superior a 18 anos, com diagnóstico de sepse sem recidiva do quadro na mesma unidade e sem disfunção renal prévia pela classificação RIFLE. Resultados: O presente estudo analisou 36 pacientes. Nessa amostra foi observado uma distribuição predominantemente feminina, com idade média de 55 anos, índice de massa corporal de 22,7kg/m2 e índice APACHE de 21,2. Dos pacientes observados 88,9% foram acometidos por disfunção renal. Conclusão: Neste estudo a maioria (88,9%) dos pacientes sépticos em regime de internação na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva adulta evoluiu com injúria renal aguda. ____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTIntroduction: The hospital environment in their diversity presents a heterogeneous scenarios assistance with singular directions. Known, the kidney is commonly affected during sepsis and its commitment increases the risk of mortality. Objective: Identify the incidence of septic patients who develop acute kidney injury in the intensive care setting. Method: A prospective, longitudinal and quantitative study with hospitalization patients in Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital Regional of Ceilândia (HRC) of Distrito Federal (DF). Data collection occurred during the 12 months through the electronic medical records of patients with data entered in structured form. Were included patients aged over 18 years with a diagnosis of sepsis with out reicidiva in the same unit and no existing renal impairment classified by RIFLE. Results: The present study analyzed 36 patients. In this sample a predominantly female distribution, mean age 55 years, BMI of 22.7 kg/m2 and APACHE index of 21.2 was observed. Observed 88.9% of patients were affected by renal dysfunction.
