Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre a Segurança do Paciente dentro do cenário brasileiro, a qual foi realizada por meio de pesquisa na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e no Portal CAPES utilizando os seguintes descritores: segurança do paciente, qualidade da assistência à saúde, eventos adversos (EAs), gerenciamento de segurança. Resultados: foram encontrados 32 artigos científicos. Destes, 46,9% foram publicados no ano de 2013 e53,1% foram publicados no ano de 2014. Dos 32 artigos selecionados, 19 artigos (57,6%) mencionaram alguma das metas do PNSP e 14 artigos (42,4%) não mencionaram as metas.O periódico com maior número de publicações foi a Revista Gaúcha de Enfermagem que publicou 18% dos artigos.Conclusão: Apesar dos fatores de risco associados a ocorrência de EAs estarem relacionados à vivência e às práticas de enfermagem, a segurança do paciente é de responsabilidade de todos os profissionais de saúde. Três estratégias são comuns a implementação de todas as metas estabelecidas pelo Ministério da Saúde (MS). São elas: incentivar a cultura de promoção de segurança do paciente, abordar a segurança do paciente desde a graduação e dar aos profissionais de saúde uma educação continuada e integrar o paciente no processo de cuidado. A implantação dessas três estratégias é essencial para o estabelecimento do PNSP de forma adequada dentro das instituições de saúde do Brasil. ____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTObjectives: This study aims to identify the existing scientific literature in Brazil on patient safety, from the establishment of the National Patient Safety Program (PNSP). Methodology: This is an integrative review of the literature on Patient Safety in the Brazilian scenario, which was carried out through research in the Virtual Health Library and the Portal CAPES using the following keywords: patient safety, quality of care health, adverse events, security management. Results: found 32 scientific articles. Of these, 46.9% were published in 2013 and 53.1% were published in the year 2014. Of the 32 selected articles, 19 articles (57.6%) mentioned some of PNSP goals and 14 articles (42.4 %) did not mention the goals. The newspaper with the highest number of publications was the Gaucho Journal of Nursing has published 18% of the articles. Conclusion: Despite the risk factors associated with the occurrence of adverse events are related to living and nursing practices, patient safety is the responsibility of all health professionals. Three strategies are common to implementing all the goals set by the Ministry of Health (MOH). These are: to encourage the culture of patient safety promotion, addressing patient safety since graduation and give healthcare professionals continuing education and integrate the patient in the care process.
