Para tanto buscou-se resgatar e valorizar a história do assentamento, através de fortalecendo o projeto da Educação do campo, que defende a melhoria da escola e da comunidade como forma de defesa do campo, de suas famílias e de seus jovens, resistindo ao êxodo rural e à destruição da vida e da identidade camponesa. Foram coletadas histórias de vida especialmente de moradores que vivem na comunidade Cooperpalmeiras III há mais tempo, além daqueles mais recentes. Vários dados foram obtidos através dos estudos produzidos para as disciplinas de Pesquisa, de Prática Pedagógica e de Estágio, do curso de Licenciatura em Educação do Campo (LEdoC). O estudo mostrou que a formação do Assentamento do Banco da Terra permitiu compreender o processo histórico da comunidade e entender diversos contextos ligados à comunidade Cooperpalmeiras III. Neste sentido, a contribuição deste trabalho foi a de ampliar e sistematizar o conhecimento sobre a comunidade e do povoado e suas relações. Possibilitou também uma reconstrução da história que poderá ser apropriada pelos estudantes na escola do campo, quando o estudo da comunidade e da realidade local fizerem parte do currículo. ___________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis work is the result of the reconstruction of the historical and cultural background of the Settlement Cooperpalmeiras III. For this we attempted to recover and value the history of the settlement, through strengthening the design of the field Education, which advocates the improvement of the school and the community as a defense of the field, their families and their young, resisting exodus and the destruction of rural life and peasant identity. Life stories especially from residents living in the community Cooperpalmeiras III longest were collected, in addition to those newer. Some data were obtained through the studies produced for the disciplines of Research of Teaching Practice and Internship's Degree in Rural Education ( LEdoC ). The study showed that the formation of the settlement of the Land Bank allows us to understand the historical process of the community and understand different contexts related to Cooperpalmeiras III community. In this sense, the aim of this study was to contribute to the knowledge of the community and the village and their relationships .
