O trabalho é embasado na teoria das Representações Sociais. Os dados foram obtidos através de um instrumento de evocação que contém uma única afirmação “Pra você a Escola é...”, gerando a livre associação de 6 palavras ou frases, organizadas pelos estudantes em ordem de importância. A coleta de dados foi analisada por meio do software EVOC e reflexões da Teoria das Representações Sociais a respeito da escola. A relevância do uso do software EVOC está na possibilidade de cruzar os dados pela freqüência e por ordem de evocação. Sobre a escola, as representações sociais dos estudantes do 4º ano giram em torno de evocações como “legal”, “importante” e “divertida”. As representações sociais dos estudantes do 5º ano sobre a escola e evocadas com maior frequência foram: “legal”, “aprendizado” e “educação”. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis research intended to identify the social representations in the perspective of Elementary School 4th and 5th year students, from public schools in Distrito Federal, on school. The work is based in the Social Representations theory. The data was obtained through an instrument of evocation that contains only one affirmation: “For you school is…”, generating the free association of 6 words or sentences, organized by the students in order of importance. The data collection was analyzed through the EVOC software and reflections of the Social Representations theory on the matter of school. The relevance of the EVOC software used is the possibility of crossing data with the frequency and the order of evocation. On school, the 4th year students‟ social representations circled around evocations as: “cool”, “important” and “fun”.
