Quality in education: unraveling the conceptual fabric in discourses

Resumo: | Quality in education is approached, in connection with excellence, a central theme of the 1980’s; in the context of the changes imposed by growing globalization, when the nations reached by the tentacles of world capitalism adopted strategic measures, as they accommodated to new needs. In this atmosphere, education is challenged to reach indices of excellence for the competent and competitive preparation of individuals in the technological society, of knowledge, and of continuous learning. This is an important concern of our time. Such relations demand studies for the “understanding” of the concepts and “interpretation” of the problems entangled in this complex of ideas. |

La calidad de la educación es abordada vinculándola a la excelencia, el tema central de los años 80 en los cambios ocurridos por la creciente globalización, provocando medidas para ser absorbido por las naciones afectadas por los tentáculos del capitalismo global en el proceso de adaptación a las nuevas necesidades. La educación tiene ahí el reto de alcanzar niveles de excelencia en la preparación de personas competentes y competitivas para la sociedad tecnológica, del conocimiento y aprendizaje continuo. Son unas de las principales preocupaciones, hoy. Estas relaciones estimulan estudios para “comprender” los conceptos e “interpretar” los problemas inmersos en las ideas complejas. Este trabalho aborda a qualidade na educação vinculando-a a excelência, tema central dos anos 80 no contexto das mudanças postas na trilha da crescente globalização, provocadora de medidas estratégicas para sua absorção pelas nações atingidas pelos tentáculos do capitalismo mundial em vias de acomodação a novas necessidades. Nessa ambientação, a educação é desafiada a alcançar índices de excelência para o preparo competente e competitivo dos indivíduos na nova sociedade tecnológica, do conhecimento e de contínua aprendizagem. Eis importante preocupação na atualidade. Tais relações impingem estudos para a compreensão dos conceitos e problemas que são enredados nesse complexo de ideias.
