Resumo: | This article consists in an exploratory study that seeks to exercise epistemological vigilance on Bourdieusian analyzes of cultural capital based on empirical research in the Brazilian educational field. To achieve this goal, a literature review was carried out on the Scientific Electronic Library Online journal portal. The examination of the works identified three types of instrumentalization of the concept: the dissociated from the theoretical content, that disregards the phenomena of legitimate culture in the analysis; the mechanic, which assumes that the facts of cultural legitimacy in Brazil are homologous to those of French society, and the relational, that approaches the orientations of the Bourdieusian investigative practice. |

Para ello, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en el portal de revistas Scientific Electronic Library Online. El examen de los trabajos identificó tres tipos de instrumentalización del concepto: disociada del contenido teórico, que prescinde de los fenómenos de la cultura legítima en el análisis; el mecánico, que asume que los hechos de legitimidad cultural en Brasil son homólogos a los de la sociedad francesa; y lo relacional, que se aproxima a las orientaciones de la práctica investigativa bourdieusiana.Este artigo consiste num estudo exploratório que procura exercer a vigilância epistemológica sobre análises bourdieusianas do capital cultural a partir de pesquisas empíricas do campo educacional brasileiro. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura no portal de periódicos Scientific Electronic Library Online.
