Resumo: The research “Sociology of the Adhesions: mystic and esoteric practices in Brasilia ” confirms what was stated by Berger at the end of the sixties about the “psychologization ” of religion. This article develops this hypothesis based on several sources and collected data about the new religious movements. These movements are, more and more, centralized around the search for self knowledge, self developpement or self enhancing of the person, since they are based on the idea that holiness can be found in the individual. This kind of search, in its turn, leads to the building of a new life-style which supposes the consumption of a great variety of alternative or non conventional practices.

Cette réfiexion est developpée dans le texte à partir de plusieurs sources de données recueillies sur les nouvelles religiosités ou nouveaux mouvements religieux (NMR). Cette recherche s ’insere dans la construction d'un nouveau style de vie, ce qui implique la croissance de la consommation d’une grande diversite de pratiques non conventionelles.A pesquisa “Sociologia das Adesões: práticas místicas e esotéricas no Distrito Federal”, que está sendo desenvolvida no Departamento de Sociologia da UnB, vem confirmando o que Berger já anunciara no final da década de 60: a psicologização da religião. Esta reflexão é desenvolvida no texto a partir de várias fontes de dados coletados em torno das novas religiosidades ou novos movimentos religiosos (NMR). Estes centralizam, cada vez mais, a busca de auto-conhecimento, auto-desenvolvímento ou auto- aperfeiçoamento, já que se baseiam no princípio de que o divino se encontra sobretudo em cada pessoa.
