Resumo: The text refers to the emergence of the feminist movement, which from the middle of this century has brought forth important political and social outcomes, besides a significant and paradigmatic contribution to the remodeling of western thought. Its aim is to characterize the modern world's ambiguity, wich can be set between misogyny and rational Cartesian order. It seeks also to remark that feminist thought has been changing the ways of knowledge is produced and the representation, of realety which interfere in the construction of the Social Theory, as wedl as in the inter-subjective and intrasubjective relationships and in the individual-society relation. Hence, the text considers in what sense, in what proportions and how the ways of sociological thinking embody the, contribuitions of feminist thought.

Il cherche aussi à caractériser les ambiguités de la modernité qui se situent entre la misogynie et I’ordre rationel cartésien. Le texte essaie de démontrer que la pensée féminine provoque des changements dans les formes de production de la connaissance et de la representation de la réalité, lesquels affectent la constructions de la théorie sociale, enplus d’avoir un impact sur les relations inter-subjectives et intra-subjectives, de même que sur les relations entre individu et société. En dernier lieu, le texte permet aussi de capter jusqu’d quel point les formes de la manière sociologique de penser incorporent les contributions de la pensée féminine.O artigo trata da emergência do movimento feminista que, a partir da metade do século XX, produziu efeitos políticos e sociais importantes, além de uma contribuição significativa e paradigmática à reestruturação do pensamento ocidental. Tem por objetivo caracterizar as ambiguidades da modernidade que transitam entre a misoginia e a ordem racional cartesiana. Propõe-se a evidenciar que o pensamento feminista tem provocado mudanças nas formas de produção do conhecimento e de representação da realidade que interferem na construção da teoria social, além de interferir nas relações inter-subjetivas e intra-subjetivas e nas relações entre indivíduo e sociedade.
