Verificou-se a interferência da variação da altura da lâmina d’água, em períodos de chuva, no estabelecimento das espécies introduzidas no ambiente; bem como o método de recuperação de áreas degradadas mais adequado a ser aplicado na área de estudo, dentre os vários testados, por apresentar maior índice de estabelecimento de espécies após dois anos de plantio, comparando-se os plantios efetuados em período chuvoso e seco. O primeiro plantio ocorreu no primeiro semestre de 2006. Foram utilizadas espécies endêmicas da região, distribuídas em toda extensão da área experimental e divididas entre os métodos: serapilheira, quincôncio, ilha vegetativa, plantio direto e em zig-zag. As avaliações compreenderam o período de janeiro a dezembro de 2008. As mudas foram monitoradas por meio de aferições de sobrevivência e crescimento em altura e em diâmetro. Foram realizadas aferições mensais de altura e diâmetro à altura do solo (DAS), registro de mortalidade e ingresso de novas espécies. O crescimento das espécies foi avaliado pelo incremento médio anual (IMA). O registro da altura das mudas que sofreram influência direta da lâmina d’água foi realizado com o uso de uma trena graduada em centímetros. Foi realizada análise da qualidade da água e análise do solo. Foram necessários ajustes no sentido de substituição das espécies que não lograram sucesso no seu estabelecimento, tendo sido efetuado duas reposições em todos os métodos. A análise dos métodos silviculturais e o período de plantio (seco ou chuvoso) mostraram que o importante para a recuperação de áreas com características semelhantes às da área analisada, é a escolha das espécies a ser utilizada, relacionando as capacidades adaptativas desta com as condições do meio. A altura da lâmina d’água e o tempo de contato com as mudas em conjunto com as altas temperaturas registradas normalmente na região do Tocantins podem ser um fator de influência para a sobrevivência e estabelecimento / desenvolvimento das espécies implantadas. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe present work aimed at to evaluate the potential of the species of the Open pasture for the revegetation of decurrent river environment of formation of artificial lakes for the construction of the Plant Hydroelectric plant Luis Eduardo Magalhães in the city of Palm. It was verified interference of the variation of the height of the blade of water, in periods of rain, the establishment of the species introduced in the environment; as well as the method of recovery of degraded areas more adjusted to be applied in the study area, amongst the several tested, for presenting greater index of species establishment after two years of plantation, comparing itself the plantations effected in rainy and dry period. The first plantation occurred in the first semester of 2006. Endemic species of the region had been used, distributed in all extension of the experimental and divided area between the methods: burlap, quincôncio, vegetative island, direct plantation and in zig-zag. The evaluations had understood the period of January the December of 2008. The changes had been monitored by means of gaugings of survival and growth in height and diameter. Monthly gaugings of height and diameter to the height of the ground (OF), register of mortality and ingression of new species had been carried through. The growth of the species was evaluated by the annual average increment (MAGNET). The register of the height of the changes that had suffered direct influence from the blade of water was carried through with the use of a graduated ribbon centimeters. Analysis of the quality of the water and analysis of the ground was carried through. They had been necessary adjustments in the direction of substitution of the species that had not cheated success in its establishment, having been effected two replacements in all the methods. The analysis of the silviculturais methods and the period of plantation (dry or rainy) had shown that the important one for the recovery of areas with similar characteristics to the ones of the analyzed area, are the choice of to be used species, relating the adaptation capacities of this with the conditions of the way.
