O estudo da crosta usando Função do Receptor é realizado com a onda P de um telessismo que atinge uma interface, sob a estação, com um ângulo próximo a vertical. Através da deconvolução da componente horizontal pela vertical, obtém-se a Função do Receptor. O sismograma sintético da Função do Receptor possui um pico maior referente à onda P direta, seguido por picos menores da onda Psc, onda P convertida em S no limite crosta superior-inferior, Ps, onda P convertida em S na descontinuidade Moho e reflexões múltiplas. Para o cálculo das estimativas de espessura crustal e razões V p=V s, utilizou-se o procedimento HKStacking. As melhores estimativas são encontradas quando as três fases P, Ps e primeira múltipla, são empilhadas coerentemente. Para espessura crustal superior, utilizou-se a correção de parâmetro de raio Moveout para fase Ps, simulando uma incidência vertical. Foram analisadas um total de 7 estações sobre a Província Borborema, nordeste do Brasil. Os resultados mostram a existência do limite crosta superior-inferior em todos os sinais analisados. As estimativas de espessura, tanto para crosta como para crosta superior, mostraram duas regiões de espessamento. A primeira na região de Sobral/CE, registro da colisão da Província Borborema com o Cráton-Oeste-Africano. A segunda, na região do Planalto da Borborema, devido ao alto topográfico ali existente. Na região do Trend Cariris-Potiguar, localizada entre as duas regiões de espessamento, ocorre um afinamento para as duas interfaces, coerentes com eventos de rifteamento que ocorreram na região. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe thickness estimates of the crust, the upper crust and the V p=V s ratio are essential in order to detail the structures and geologic features, besides they corroborate for the regional tectonic evolution understanding. The crust study using the Receiver Function is performed with teleseismic P-waves that reaches the interface, under the station, with an almost vertical angle. The Receiver Function is obtained through the deconvolution of the horizontal component from the vertical one. The synthetic seismogram of the Receiver function has a higher peak of direct P-waves, followed by minor peaks of Psc waves, where P converted into S in the upper-lower crust limit, Ps, P-wave converted into S in the Moho discontinuity and multiple reflections. It was used the HK-Stacking method for the calculation of crustal thickness estimates and V p=V s ratio. The best estimates are found when the three phases (P, Ps and the first multiple) are correctly stacked. The Normal Moveout correction for the Ps phase was used for the upper crust thickness, simulating a vertical incidence. A total of 7 stations on the Borborema Province in the Brazilian Northeast was analyzed. The results show that there is an upper-lower crust limit in all the analyzed signs. The thickness estimates, for the crust and the upper crust, showed two thickness regions. The first one in the Sobral/CE region, as a register of the Borborema Province and the Craton-West-African collision. The second one, in the Borborema Plateau, due to the topography existing there.
