Study on the economic din mica of the municipality of Taquara/RS referenced in the local quotient methodology

Resumo: This article presents the results of a research that aimed to identify the current productive structure and analyze the recent economic dynamics in the city of Taquara, RS. The main analytical tool is the identification of the productive chains of the territory through the calculation and interpretation of urban and rural QLs for specific activities and sectors. The theoretical basis for regional development adopted was that of the “export base”, based on the locality and the region. The analysis of the results confirmed the hypothesis that the offer of health and education services and diversified commerce still justify the classification of the municipality as a regional pole. In addition, there are opportunities for strengthening the food industry combined with the rural environment. Keywords: Productive Chains. Locational Quotient. Territorial Development.

La principal herramienta analítica es la identificación de las cadenas productivas del territorio a través del cálculo e interpretación de QL urbanas y rurales para actividades y sectores específicos. La base teórica para el desarrollo regional adoptada fue la de la "base de exportación", basada en la localidad y la región. El análisis de los resultados confirmó la hipótesis de que la oferta de servicios de salud y educación y el comercio diversificado aún justifican la clasificación del municipio como un polo regional. Además, existen oportunidades para fortalecer la industria alimentaria combinada con el medio rural. Palabras clave: Cadenas Productivas. Cociente de Ubicación. Desarrollo Territorial.Este artigo apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa que teve a finalidade de identificar a estrutura produtiva atual e analisar a dinâmica econômica recente do município de Taquara, RS. O principal instrumento analítico é a identificação das cadeias produtivas do território através do cálculo e interpretação dos QLs urbanos e rurais das atividades e setores específicos. O lastro teórico de desenvolvimento regional adotado foi o da “base de exportação”, tomando por base a localidade e a região. A análise dos resultados confirmou a hipótese de que a oferta de serviços de saúde e educação e o comércio diversificado ainda justificam a classificação do município como um polo regional. Além disso, há oportunidades para o fortalecimento da indústria de alimentos aliada ao meio rural. Palavras-chave: Cadeias Produtivas. Quociente Locacional.
