O presente artigo tem por objetivo compreender de que maneira a categoria aristotélica de potência (dynamis) pode auxiliar no entendimento de uma ética pós-Auschwitz. Tal questão se apresenta na medida em que as aporias acerca da definição do sujeito que testemunha saltam aos olhos. Dessa forma, revelar-se-á o sentido de “estado de exceção” no qual o campo de concentração surge, seguido da apresentação das aporias do testemunho e da investigação acerca das categorias de “potência” e de “homem” na obra De anima, de Aristóteles, mediado pela leitura feita por Giorgio Agamben.AbstractThis article aims to understand how the Aristotelian category of potency (dynamis) can help in the understanding of post-Auschwitz ethics. Such a question arises insofar as the aporias about the definition of the subject that witnesses appear in the eye. In this way, the sense of "state of exception" in which the concentration camp emerges will be revealed, followed by the presentation of the aporias of testimony and the investigation of the categories of "potency" and "man" in De anima, of Aristotle, mediated by the reading made by Giorgio Agamben.
