Resumo: | The multifactorial nature of mobility means in generating vulnerabilities in both the place of origin, as the arrival. This study analyzed the vulnerabilities, motivations and human rights violations related internal migrants in Brazil, through an integrative review of scientific and popular content conveyed in digital media. The data indicated that the understanding of the terminology of environmental refugees in Brazil refers to internally displaced persons in the northeastern semiarid of the country, and that they leave their place of origin due to issues related to drought, heat, lack of resources, work, decent work, lack of opportunities, prejudice and hunger. The environmental refugee hardly finds shelter on arrival and suffers from prejudice and unstable conditions of survival. Thus, we sought to characterize the scientific and popular representation about the vulnerability of migrants from the drought in Brazil's northeast. Keywords: Refugee. Environmental refugee. Migrant. Displacement. Economic migrant. |
