This article analyzes a new approach to some contents in the teaching of chemistry, relating them to the production of mental maps made of fabric. The production of mind maps aimed to provide students with a more understandable method to study some chemistry subjects, facilitating the teaching-learning process and stimulating the cognitive and creative part of these students. The study model of the project has as methodology the purposeful research, execution and development that took place in a state school in the city of Arapiraca-AL, by a student of the 1st year of high school. During the course of the project, it was observed a change in students' interest in relation to chemistry classes, they showed more interest in the disciplines precisely because of the creation and exposure of materials. The produced mind maps were stored in the school's science lab, allowing other students to access them.
